ATTENDANCE POLICY
Attendance is a requirement for success. Failure to meet such requirements can lead to adjustments in your child’s enrollment and/or participation in performances.
LATENESS:
Children MUST attend all classes. If a student is running late or will be absent, they MUST CALL TO EXCUSE THE LATENESS OR ABSENCE.
All lateness must be accounted for by a phone call:
PROBATION:
Any student with excess absences or lateness (excused or unexcused) will be placed on probation. This will be communicated via phone call and a letter home from the Program Director. During the probationary period, the student may not miss any classes. If any classes are missed during this period, the student will be removed from the class and placed on limited enrollment.
LIMITED ENROLLMENT:
Failure to comply with our policy will result in Limited Enrollment. Limited Enrollment is done on a case by case basis. A student on limited enrollment will only be allowed to take one class at GWM. Students on limited enrollment are also on probation (see above). Poor attendance, dropping a class without communicating to GWM staff, and/or pulling a student early from the recital prior to dismissal will result in limited enrollment at the next registration period.
~IMPORTANT~
1. After 15 minutes, it is not beneficial for your child to participate in class and she will not be allowed in the dance studio.
2. Every late student must stop by the office to let staff know that they are here and must obtain a late pass
3. The expectation is for any dancer that enters into the class late- enters in silently. Dancers MUST wait until the teacher invites them to join the class
