Dear GWM Community, 

On behalf of the GWM team, we hope that this email finds you and your family in the best of health. It is an unsettling time with so many unknowns about school, work, and childcare. We are so happy to be able to open for a portion of our students at this time.

In following Governor Cuomo, and the NYC Board of Education, we plan to open this fall under the following guidelines:

1. Our dancers’ safety is our top priority which is why we are capping each class at 6-8 dancers. 
2. Dancers can only register for one class given the limited spaces.
3. Registration will be via a phone call from a staff person. The schedule will be sent as soon as it is available. Families will review the schedule and choose one class from the list. 
4. Classes will begin toward the end of September. An update will be sent in the following weeks. 
5. All dancers must have a new physical form with them on the first day of classes. Your child will not be allowed to participate unless we have a physical that is less than one year old. 

Many of you will be disappointed and frustrated. Please understand that we wish all children could come back! But given the CDC guidelines, it’s impossible to allow more people upstairs.  We hope that all families understand and are patient with us as we work toward opening GWM for full capacity. 

For the fall semester ages 7-12 may enroll in one weekly class. This was the most appropriate age with which to begin because girls must remain 6 ft. apart and wear a mask and no parents can be allowed upstairs. 

As you know, Groove With Me is always looking for other ways to connect and provide for all of you. There will be virtual programming and other services. Stay tuned for more information.

It’s exciting to return to classes at Groove With Me, but we must insist that everyone take a very serious and cautious approach. We ALL want to stay safe & well! We are thankful that you entrust your precious children to us; we love them as our own!
