Marguerite D'Aloia, Chairwoman, Professional tap teacher and stage performer
Marguerite D’Aloia taught Tap, Ballet, Jazz and Tumbling for over 17 years before deciding to specialize in Tap. She has taught in various studios in New Jersey and most recently at Broadway Dance Center in Manhattan. Marguerite has appeared in many off Broadway productions as well as T.V., movies, commercials and industrials. Marguerite has been teaching Tap at Groove With Me since 1997. Currently she not only teaches 3 classes each week, but she is the chair-woman of Groove With Me’s Board of Directors, too!

Rachel Lurie, Vice Chair, JP Morgan Chase

Steve Wolinsky, Treasurer, Financial consultant
Steve Wolinsky is a consultant for the investment management industry specializing in merger and acquisition integration, back office operations and IT programs. He worked at JP Morgan Chase for 25 years, where he was a senior vice president, managing back office services for investment managers. Previously, he managed the back offices of Latin American branches and capital market businesses in London. He was also the founder and CEO of a web-based transaction platform for real estate closings. Steve is a graduate of Brown University. He is married, with 3 grown children and 4 grandchildren.

Mona Girotra, Secretary, Lehman Brothers
Mona Girotra joined Groove With Me as an assistant hip-hop dance teacher. Having practiced classical ballet, modern and jazz, Mona welcomed the opportunity to combine her personal love of dance with Groove With Me’s social mission. From 2000 to 2005, she worked for JPMorgan Asset Management, advising institutions such as pension funds, endowments and foundations on asset/liability management issues. She currently works for the Absolute Return Strategies business at Lehman Brothers. Mona received her B.A. in European Studies from Barnard College, Columbia University and her Masters of Business Administration from Harvard Business School. Mona does actually have interests beyond dance! She enjoys vegetarian cooking, foreign affairs, and international travel.

Abigail Rosin, Founding Director, Groove With Me, Inc.
Founder of Groove With Me, Inc., Abigail Rosin received a Bachelor of Arts in women’s health care from Brown University. After attempting to engage her students with the contemporary jazz that she grew up on, she set out all over NYC to learn the hip-hop the girls desired. She performed with a hip-hop troupe in 1998 and 1999. She has taught workshops for other organizations including Free Arts for Abused Children, the Harlem Girls Collaborative and Sponsors for Educational Opportunities. She’s even taught dance in an orphanage in Costa Rica. For the creation of Groove With Me Abby received the Montblanc International Arts Award, the Ford Blue Oval Commitment to Kids Award, the Eckerd Salute to Women Award, the RCN Cool Classics Award, Glamour Best of You Award, The New York Winter Theater and Arts Festival Award, and the Harlequin More Than Words Award. Abby continues to learn how to be a better Executive Director through short courses and consultations.

Hope Clements, Youth, I.N.C. (Improving Non-profits for Children)
Hope Clements is the Director of Development at Youth, I.N.C. (Improving Nonprofits for Children), a leading capacity-building organization for nonprofits serving at-risk youth in New York City.  She oversees a comprehensive development program, which includes board development, special events, and a recently launched multi-million dollar campaign.  She has 10 years of experience working with nonprofit organizations -- she began her career with City Harvest and most recently served as an Event Manager for the NYC Chapter of the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation and Assistant Vice President of Campaign and Community Relations at Aloha United Way in Honolulu, HI.  She received her B.A. in Urban Affairs from Barnard College.

Margie Cole, Retail Buyer
Margie Tucker Cole has worked for Daffy’s in retail buying for the last 19 years. She graduated the University of Massachusetts at Amherst and received her MBA from the Stern School of Business. She is married with two daughters.

Allan Forsyth,Writer
Allan Forsyth joined Groove With Me after reading about Abby Rosin’s Mont Blanc award in May of 2000. Allan became Groove With Me’s first board chairman in 2001 and served for the next six years, retiring in 2007 but continuing as a board member. A Princeton graduate and an Army veteran, Allan spent three decades as a senior editor and managing editor at various book publishing houses. Then he moved to the non-profit world, joining the boards of his children’s schools and summer camp, where he served as communications chair for three multi-million dollar fundraising campaigns. When his kids went to college, he found Groove With Me.

Ashley Tuttle, Ballerina
Ashley Tuttle, a native of South Carolina, moved to New York City at the age of 15 to study dance. A year later, Mikhail Baryshnikov invited her to join American Ballet Theatre. She danced there for 17 years reaching Principal ranks and performing all of the classics as well as many modern works. During this time, the role of Judy in the Broadway show, “Movin' Out” was created for Ashley. She was nominated for a Tony award in this role and continued to dance it every night of its run. Ms. Tuttle joined Groove With Me in 2005 and she has found it to be an unbelievably rewarding experience and hopes to continue learning from all of the children.

Caryl Chinn, Karlitz & Company
Caryl Chinn is Vice President, Culinary Marketing at Karlitz & Company – an events marketing agency in New York City.  This Fall she will produce the first ever Food Network NYC Wine & Food Festival; the largest of its kind in New York City and sister event to the wildly successful Food Network South Beach Wine & Food Festival.  She is a Contributing Editor of BizBash Magazine, and is a member of both the James Beard Foundation and the International Association for Culinary Professionals (IACP). A native of San Francisco, she studied dance for 8 years with the San Francisco Ballet Company as a young girl. While with the SF Ballet, Caryl performed in the Nutcracker several times. She was both a Toy Soldier and an Angel! Caryl graduated from the University of California, Berkeley with a BA in History.

Becca Parrish, Becca Parrish PR
Becca Parrish is Groove With Me’s publicist. She began her career in journalism, working as a features reporter for the Montgomery Advertiser, the daily newspaper in Alabama‘s capital. After moving to New York, Becca worked at Stanton Crenshaw Communications to direct media campaigns for Starbucks, CNBC and Sony Online Entertainment. She later moved into the world of food and hospitality, first at KB Network News and later at Baltz & Company. She has managed publicity campaigns for many talented chefs and restaurateurs, including Tom Colicchio, Eric Ripert, Marcus Samuelsson and Scott Conant. A native of Pensacola, Florida, Becca earned a master‘s degree in journalism from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and a bachelor‘s degree in English literature from Florida State University, where she started out as a modern dance major. When not PR-ing, she sings with the band Milton.

Jill Rosengard-Hill, Frank N. Magid and Associates
Jill Rosengard Hill recently moved to Atlanta, Georgia to start a family and served as a Groove With Me board member from 2001-2007. Jill is Vice President, Managing Director of Frank N. Magid Associates, a leading media, communications and entertainment research and strategy firm. Jill oversees Magid's cable and wireless practice based out of Magid’s New York office. She helps cable operators, wireless carriers and programmers define programming and marketing strategies based on consumer research. Her expertise includes Video On Demand, HDTV, interactive television and wireless content. She joined the firm in 1996 and moved to New York in 1998 after spending several years with the Associated Press as its Midwest regional television executive. Jill has an extensive journalism background including helping the Tribune Company launch ChicagoLand Television, a 24-hour news channel in the role of assignment manager. Before that, she spent six years as an investigative reporter and weekend anchor for the ABC affiliate in Dubuque, Iowa, and the CBS affiliate in South Bend, Indiana. Jill received her Bachelor of Journalism from the University of Texas at Austin. Jill studied tap, jazz and modern dance in high school and loves being able to give back by sharing her love of dance with young women.
